My name is Karel, I'm a software engineer from Belgium who enjoys building web things.
I always strive for quality, with a close eye on performance and security.
I currently work for Selligent Marketing Cloud. Prior to this, I have worked on a suite of sports tech SaaS platforms called SoccerLAB / TennisLIFE / Panega Sports. And before that, I did a bunch of other things including research projects for Hasselt University centered around early days multi-touch user interfaces and games.
There is more to life than writing code. For me this means:
- Spending time with my wife and two kids
- Playing football, padel or go for the occasional run
- Holidays, preferrably on a snowboard in the alps
